Abstract

This study explored the roles of managerial supervision, achievement motivation, and administrative staff performance in high schools in Jayawijaya. It further examined the association between managerial supervision and staff performance, between achievement motivation and performance, and the combined effect of supervision and motivation on administrative outcomes. A correlational survey design was employed, involving a population of 308 individuals and a sample of 176 respondents selected through proportional area sampling. Data were gathered using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed with descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Results indicated that managerial supervision was categorized as good, achievement motivation as frequent, and administrative performance as high. Moreover, there were positive and statistically significant relationships between managerial supervision and performance, between achievement motivation and performance, and jointly between supervision and motivation with staff performance. These findings suggest that effective supervision and strong motivation are key drivers in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of school administrative operations.
