Abstract

The system dynamics approach can map complex cause-and-effect relationships, feedback loops, and time delay factors in waste management systems. Waste issues in Indonesia, especially in rural areas such as Durung Bedug Village, demand integrated management strategies to prevent excessive accumulation (overload) at Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) and reduce residual burdens to the Jabon Landfill. This study aims to develop a dynamic TPS Reduce, Reuse, Recycle(3R) system model in Durung Bedug Village to illustrate system behavior and formulate optimal strategies for reducing waste volume. The main variables analyzed include waste generation rates, infrastructure capacity, community participation levels in sorting, and the effectiveness of 3R processing. The model simulation is planned for 5 to 10 years using STELLA software. The results of this study are expected to provide strategic recommendations. for village governments and communities to optimize the performance of 3R TPS and ensure the sustainability of environmental quality by significantly reducing waste volume at the source.
